CASometry Challenge 3: Final Stage

Hi!

Today I’m sharing my card for the final stage of Anna Kossakovskaya‘s CASometry Challenge 3. Randomizer. This challenge has been loads of fun!! I’m so happy to have taken part! I want to thank Anna for hosting this challenge and make us stretch our creative muscles 🙂

For the final stage, we had to choose one of the cards we made for the previous stages and use all the stamp sets, dies, stencils, and embossing folders for making a new card. It was hard choosing a card, and in the end, I selected the one I did for stage 3 using Lawn Fawn “Pizza my heart” stamp set.

First, I stamped the images on Bristol paper with Versafine Onyx black ink, colored them using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and fussy cut everything. Then, I used one of the dies from Lawn Fawn “Stitched borders” to make the stitching detail on a piece of pattern paper from Lawn Fawn “Perfectly plaid Christmas” paper pad. Next, I used a die from Lawn Fawn “Stitched scalloped borders” on a piece of vellum to make a scalloped frame.

I used La Vida en Scrap “Escríbeme” stamp set to stamp the word friend on the piece of vellum using Versafine Onyx black ink and then stamped the sentiment using the same ink. Next, I glued the images to the vellum and then adhered the vellum to the pattern paper. I glued the panel to a card base, and finally, I stamped the rest of the sentiment on the inside of the card with Memento Lady Bug ink and glued the pizza cutter.

I hope you like this last card for CASometry Challenge 3. Randomizer!

Here you have some pictures of the cards I made for all stages:

Stage 1: 1 random stamp set + any geometry shape

Stage 2: 1 random stamp set + using one stamp minimum 3 times

Stage 3: 1 random stamp set + embossing

Stage 4: 1 random stamp set + friendship

I hope you’ve enjoyed this challenge as much as I did! By the way, which is your favorite card? Mine is the one for stage 3!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!

Sakura’s Birthday Card

Hola!!

A few days ago was Sakura’s birthday, so I made a birthday card for her. I love that there are many cat themed stamp sets now and I can find any excuse to play with them 🙂

For this card I used Lawn Fawn “Meow you doin'” stamp set, that I think is fabulous! I stamped the images on Bristol papel using Versafine Onyx black ink, colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut everything. The cat is colored like Sakura 🙂 Next, I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper and blended Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, trying to achieve an ombre effect. I spritzed the watercolor panel with a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls, and I dried it with a paper towel after few seconds.

Then, I used the big die from Mama Elephant “Peek a frame” dies on black cardstock for my background panel. I randomly stamped the fishbone, the mouse, the paw print and the heart with Versamark ink and heat embossed everything using white embossing powder. I also white heat embossed the sentiment on a thin stripe of black cardstock.

Sakura with her birthday card.

Then I adhered the black and white panel to the card base. I adhered a clear thread to the upper back of the pink panel and to an action wobbler, where I also adhered the kitten image. I glued this action wobbler to the pink panel, and the panel to the background. Last, I glued the two yarn balls together sandwiching the clear thread, and the sentiment stripe. Here I have a video of the card:

I must tell you that I almost can’t share this card. I was trying to film the video when Sakura caught the yarn ball and freed  the thread. Lucky, I can put everything together 🙂

I’m entering this card into Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #4: black/white & bright

CASometry Challenge 3: Stage 4

Hi!

Today I’m sharing my card for the 4th stage of Anna Kossakovskaya‘s CASometry Challenge 3. Randomizer. This week we have to use a random stamp set and the theme for the card must be friendship. My boyfriend selected Lawn Fawn “Lovable Legends” stamp set. You may notice that most of my cards for the CASometry Challenge have been made with Lawn Fawn products. Well, that’s because I love Lawn Fawn! Maybe half of my stamps are from Lawn Fawn. But I also think my boyfriend likes Lawn Fawn too because he is the one who’s picking the stamps for the challenge 😉

To make my card, I stamped the bigfoot on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo black ink, and then I mirror stamped the second one using my MISTI and the back of a big solid stamp. As the mirror-stamped image is not very clean, I trace over it with a Sakura Black Glaze gel pen. Then, I colored the images with ShinHan Touch Twin brush markers and fussy cut them.

For the background, I used Lawn Fawn “Woodgrain backdrops” stamp set, which I stamped on kraft cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Then, I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder. The word friend is from Lawn Fawn “Science of love” stamp set (I partially stamped the friendship stamp) and the rest of the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn “Yeti, set, go” stamp set.

Next, I die cut an oval using Lawn Fawn “Small stitched ovals” dies and stamped the two dots (they are the cherries from Lawn Fawn “Just for you” stamp set), and the little burst  (from Lawn Fawn “Beep boop birthday”) with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder. Last, I adhered the background panel to a card base using double-sided tape, the oval to the background panel, and the bigfoots to the oval using foam tape. I love that it looks like they are hi-fiving! I think they are very cute!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day!

CASometry Challenge3: Stage 3

Hola!!

Today I’m sharing my card for the third stage of Anna Kossakovskaya‘s CASometry Challenge 3. Randomizer. This week, besides using a random stamp set, we had to use embossing.

This time my boyfriend chose a stamp set that I was looking forward to using: Lawn Fawn “Pizza my heart”. This stamp set is so versatile and cute and fun to use! I had a great time using it!

First, I stamped the pizzas on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink and colored them using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Then, I stamped the ingredients using Memento Bamboo Leaves, Peanut Brittle, Lady Bug, Tuxedo Black, and  Rich Cocoa inks. I love the pepperoni rosy cheeks! After that, I fussy cut the images.

Next, I trimmed a piece of Bristol paper to a standard A2 size, stamped the ingredients randomly using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. Then, I blended Dried Marigold and Tattered Rose Distress inks. After that, I trimmed a stripe of white cardstock and used Lawn Fawn “Stitched borders” and “Stitched scalloped borders” dies. For the sentiment, I used La Vida en Scrap “Escríbeme” stamp set to stamp “amatxu” (that means mammy in basque) using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then used my MISTI to stamp “you’re the greatest!” using Memento Lady Bug ink, and then stamped it again with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Last, I adhered the background panel to a card base, the strip with the sentiment to the background panel, and the happy pizzas to the strip using foam tape.

I loooove this card. It was so much fun to make! I’m going to tell you a secret. Next Sunday is Mother’s Day in Spain, and I made this card for my sister Arantza. She is a wonderful mother to my nephew Telmo and is always very supportive of me. So I really enjoy making cards for Telmo and for her, because they’re always happy to receive them. I know she probably is going to read this before receiving the card, but I hope she enjoys the card anyway!

I hope you like this card! Thanks for stopping by!

CASometry Challenge 3: Stage 2

Hi!

Today I’m sharing my card for the second stage of CASometry Challenge 3. Randomizer, hosted by  Anna Kossakovskaya. This week we had to choose a random stamp set and use one of the stamps of that set at least three times.

Again, I asked my boyfriend to select one stamp set and he came with these adorable meerkats from Clearly Besotted “I got your back” stamp set. Initially, I was quite happy, but then I had a hard time deciding which kind of card should I make. Finally, I went for a simple card.

First, I die cut the polaroid frame using Lawn Fawn “Say cheese” die. Then, I trimmed a piece of Bristol paper slightly smaller than the polaroid frame to make my scene. I stamped the rock from the stamp set in the middle of the scene using Vesafine Onyx black ink, masked it, and stamped it two more times, to the left and to the right of the previously stamped rock, slightly rotated. That way I got a bigger rock to put my meerkats. I stamped three meerkats on Bristol paper and then colored all the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Then, I fussy cut the meerkats glued the background to the polaroid frame with double-sided tape, and stamped the sentiment “from all of us” from the same Clearly Besotted stamp set. Next, I adhered the meerkats using foam tape.

I wanted the photograph to stand out from the card front, so I trimmed a piece of Canson Mi-Teintes brown paper slightly smaller than an A2 size card and glued it to the card base. I stamped the “happy birthday” sentiment from Neat and Tangled “Big top birthday” stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. Finally, I adhered the polaroid picture to the card.

I’m looking forward to seeing the projects of the cardmakers at this stage! This challenge is so much fun!

Have a nice day! Thanks for stopping by!

Wedding Card

Hola!

Today I’m sharing a wedding card I made using Altenew “Peony Bouquet” stamp set. These flowers are just gorgeous, aren’t they? I think they are perfect for elegant wedding cards.

First, I stamped the flowers and the sentiment (from Mama Elephant “Whale wishes” stamp set) on Arches watercolor paper with Versamark ink and heat embossed them using gold embossing powder. I did some masking to have some leaves and flowers behind the big flower. I wanted to color the flowers in some way to get a pearly effect, so I smushed Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean Distress inks on a laminated paper and mixed the inks with Perfect Pearls. Then I colored everything using these homemade pearlescent watercolors. I love the shiny look, it’s so beautiful!

Then, I added Antique Linen Distress ink around the flowers to give some depth. Finally, I adhered the front panel to a blue card base using double-sided tape. As you can see, I made a coordinating envelope stamping the big flower and heat-embossing it with gold embossing powder.

I’m entering this card into Altenew April 2017 Inspiration Challenge

CASometry Challenge 3: Stage 1

Hi!

I’m so excited because I’m participating in Anna Kossakovskaya‘s CASometry Challenge 3. Randomizer! For the first stage, I had to pick a random stamp set as the main focus for my card, and then choose any geometric shape.

I asked my boyfriend to choose a stamp set for me, and he selected Lawn Fawn “Booyah” stamp set. I told him “What?! A Halloween stamp set? A Halloween card on April?” And he said, “Why do you say this is a Halloween stamp set?” I was like “you know, because of the ghosts, the costumes, the Halloween sentiments…” Hehehe, anyway, I loooooove this set my sister gifted me on Christmas! I think it’s super fun and I was looking forward to using it, and now I have the perfect pretext :p The geometric shape I chose was Simon Says Stamp “Triangle Border Craft” die.

First, I trimmed a piece of black cardstock, die cut it with the “Triangle Border” die, and glued it to another piece of black cardstock. Then I die cut three pieces of purple, orange, and green cardstock and saved the little triangles for making die cut inlaying. It was a little bit time-consuming but totally worth it! I trimmed six stripes of color cardstock, two of each color, and adhered them to the upper and bottom part of the card base. After that, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink, heat embossed it using white embossing powder, and adhered this panel with foam tape to the card base.

Last, I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, fussy cut, and adhered everything to the front panel with foam tape.

I’m quite happy with the result! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day!!

Hunny Bunny

Hi!

Today I have a super sweet card featuring Neat and Tangled “Cottontail Cuties” stamp set, designed by Elena Roussakis. I looooove these cute images and I was looking forward to using them.

I also wanted to participate in the current Little Tangles challenge, themed watercolor. Although watercolor scares me because I feel I don’t have any control, I thought this challenge is the perfect occasion to practice.

First, I stamped the images on Canson watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I did some masking to put the carrot on the girl’s hand and the bunny sitting on the stump, which is from Mama Elephant “Pix’s favorites” stamp set (you could use the one in the Neat and Tangled “Lumberjack love” stamp set, but I don’t have that stamp set!).  Then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to watercolor the images. I had a great time watercoloring everything!

After letting it air dry, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink using my MISTI for a perfect stamping, and the little heart, from Neat and Tangled and Simon Says Stamp “Cute Chicks” stamp set, using Memento Lady Bug ink.  Then, I adhered the panel to a Lawn Fawn pattern paper from the “Perfectly Plaid Christmas” collection and adhered everything to the card base with foam tape.

I love the result, and I’m sure I’m going to use watercolors more often!

Tiny Ninjas Spinner Card

Hi everyone!

Today I have a card featuring Mama Elephant “Tiny Ninjas” stamp set. I loooove this cute ninjas, I’m a sucker for japanese themed things!

I wanted to make a card for Seven Hills Crafts April Sketch Challenge, and I had a hard time deciding which card should I make. Here the sketch:

april17sketch

Finally, I decided to use these super cute ninjas and this is my card:

First, I used Lawn Fawn “Small stitched ovals” dies to die cut a window in my card base and a big oval from dark blue cardstock. Then, I used Mama Elephant “Cityscape” dies on black, grey and white cardstock and blended Memento tuxedo black ink into the white die cut piece to get a dark shade of gray. I trimmed pieces of yellow cardstock and glued them on the back of the cityscape die cuts, glued the three die cuts pieces and used the oval die on them. Then adhered this skyline to the blue oval piece and everything into the inside of the card.

Then, I stamped the ninjas, gifts, shurikens and the flower bouquet with Memento Tuxedo black ink on white cardstock, colored the images with alcohol markers and fussy cut everything. On the front side of the card I stamped repeatedly the “hi-ya!” sentiment and the shuriken using Mama Elephant Winter ink to get a soft pattern. Then I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink. The diagonal element of this card is the thread I sandwiched between the spinning ninjas and held to the corners of the card with the big shurikens. Last, I adhered the other two ninjas to look like one of them is running along the thread and the other one is sliding along it, on their mission of delivering the presents 😉 Last, I adhered the last ninja to the inside of the card with a pile of gifts.

I hope you like this card!

Have a nice day!

Grumpy’s Birthday Card

Hola!!

I haven’t told you that besides Sakura we have another cat. We adopted her because her former owner has moved to another country because of his job. She was called Khaleesi, and although we are big fans of A Song of Ice and Fire (the books, we haven’t watched the tv series) we really don’t like Daenerys. The first night at home the kitten was hissing and growling all the time, so her new name was quite evident: Grumpy (but with Spanish pronunciation 😉 ). Truth be told, Grumpy is a very loving cat and her name does not do her justice.

Sakura and Grumpy on their shelves.

In her vet record says her birthday is in April, but we didn’t know which day, so we decided that next Saturday is the perfect day to celebrate her birthday, yay! With this pretext and the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge in mind, I made an interactive birthday card for her.

First, I die cut an oval from white cardstock using the largest die from Lawn Fawn “Small stitched ovals” dies. I used Lawn Fawn “Sharp backdrops” stamp set to make the upper side pattern stamping one of the stamps with Dried Marigold Distress Ink. For the floor, I stamped the Lawn Fawn “Woodgrain backdrops” stamp using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and used ShinHan Touch Twin brush markers to color over it. Then, I trimmed a stripe of white cardstock to make the baseboard and used the same die-cut to maintain the stitching detail. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.

Next, I stamped the images from Lawn Fawn “Meow you doin'” stamp set on Bristol paper using Versafine onyx black ink, colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and fussy cut everything. I also stamped the cat bed in an orange pattern paper from Lawn Fawn “Beachside” paper collection and fussy cut the cushion part. For the mechanism that makes the mouse move, I used a stripe of acetate and a brad. I adhered to the cat bed with foam tape to allow the stripe of acetate with the mouse to move and the rest of the elements with double-sided tape. Last I added Glossy Accents on the party hat, the fish can, and the cat nose, and also on the yarn ball that I used as a handle.

I really love this card and I had a great time making it. I hope you like it!!

Rainbows and Chicks

Hi!!

Today I want to share a spring-themed “congrats” card I made for the current Little Tangles challenge. I have bought some Neat and Tangled stamps and dies lately and I was looking forward to using them! This card features Neat and Tangled and Simon Says Stamp collaboration stamp set called “Cute Chicks”, designed by Elena Roussakis. I totally love this set. Is one of the happiest stamp sets I have seen! Plus, I love Elena’s work as a card maker and also as a designer. She designs amazing stamps!

The theme of the current Little Tangles challenge is “rainbow” and as I couldn’t decide between light and bold colors, I made two cards.

First, I masked the top of two pieces of Bristol paper with post-it note tape and blended some colors in rainbow order. The inks I used in each card are listed in the corresponding image caption.  I sprinkled some water and dried it up with a paper towel after few seconds.

Memento Tangelo and Lady Bug inks. Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, and Dusty Concord Distress inks.

I die cut the word “congrats” using Neat and Tangled “Journaling Alphas” dies. Then I stamped the big drumming chicken and the two little chicks and I colored them using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Both cards are colored in a very similar way. After the coloring, I adhered a piece of acetate behind the front panels and glued the little pieces of the “o”, “r” and “a”. Then I put foam tape on the backside of the panels to make shaker cards. I filled the shakers with “Twinkle Lights Sparkly Shaker Selection” from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards. Then, I adhered the card bases to the panels and stamped the sentiment “Hope this puts a spring in your step” on the inside of one of the cards because I plan to mail it to my friend Nora that just defended her Ph.D. thesis.

Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral, Antique Linen, Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, and Shaded Lilac Distress inks.

I love how these cards turned out, I think they are super happy cards.

Birthday card for my brother

Hola!!

Today’s 3rd post, I’ve come back with strength 🙂

Here I have the birthday card I made for my brother using Lawn Fawn products. I wanted it to look like you are watching Nessy through the window from the inside of your house and then when you open the card, you can see the outside of the house and the landscape with Nessy.

First, I stamped Nessy, the party hat, and the little ship from “Lovable Legends” stamp set with Versafine onyx black ink on Bristol paper, colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut them. Then I die cut twice the window from some white cardstock using the “Wonderful window” die. This die is incredible! I love it!! Next, I made a hole in the card base and in the front patterned paper slightly smaller than the window outline. I placed the pattern paper (American Crafts “Lovely Day” collection by Dear Lizzy) in the front of the card base and glued one of the window die cuts. Then I stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink and with Lawn Fawn Mermaid ink. For the curtains, I used tissue paper and a thin strip of kraft paper.

Now let’s go to the inside!

I cut stripes of kraft cardstock to make the wood cover for the house, glued them to the inside of the card, and then glued the other window die cut. I colored red the flowerpot with alcohol markers and added tons of glossy accents to make it look like a ceramic flowerpot. I also colored the flowers and the grass (die cut with Lawn Fawn “grassy border” die) with alcohol markers and glued everything together.

For the landscape of the inside of the card, I used the negative space of Mama Elephant “Madison Avenue” die. I die cut this piece with Mama Elephant “Ocean wave trio” dies as well as a piece of vellum. I inked the sky with Dried Marigold and Tattered Rose Distress inks, and the sea with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers. The vellum is also colored with Peacock Feathers Distress ink.

Here you can see the ceramic look of the flowerpot in detail

I used Lawn Fawn “Puffy cloud frames” dies to die cut some clouds from white cardstock and vellum. Finally, I glued everything together. To glue the piece of vellum of the sea, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and used Blue Patina Perfect Pearls, because I can’t heat emboss this particular vellum, it warps a lot! Then I applied glue with a glue pen on the backside of the sentiment and also used the ship to glue the vellum piece.  I love the effect of the Perfect Pearls in the sentiment!

I’m entering this last card into Lawn Fawnatics first challenge: happy birthday.

Father’s day card

Hello again!

This is my second post today!!

I want to share a Father’s day card I made for my dad. In Spain Father’s day is on the 19th of March, but we couldn’t meet him until yesterday, so he had to wait for his card 🙂

For this project, I used Lawn Fawn “Dad+me” stamp set. It’s sooooo sweet!!! I really love it.

First I stamped the bears with Versafine onyx black ink on Bristol paper and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut them. Then, I die cut the mountains with Lawn Fawn “Stitched mountain borders” dies and the hillside with “Stitched hillside borders” dies. In this last die-cut piece I stamped the lake with Lawn Fawn Mermaid ink and then I stamped it again with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Next, I inked the hills and the mountains with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress inks, respectively, and the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. Then, I stamped the sentiment using Memento Bamboo Leaves ink.

Last, I die cut the frame from kraft cardstock using Mama Elephant “Madison Avenue” dies and adhered everything together and to the card base. As you can see, I also decorate a tiny bit the envelope using the small stamps in the set.

I hope you like it! Have a nice day!

So long since last card!

Hola!!!

So long since my last post! Sorry!! But I started in a new job and I have not had much time for crafting nor blogging 🙁 But I’m going to try keeping this blog alive and continue with my crafty adventure!

Today I want to share some cards I’ve made lately but I had no time to share them anywhere. I hope you like them!

Let’s go with the first one. This is a birthday card I made for my father using Mama Elephant “Little cat agenda” and “Make a wish” stamps. I’m definitely a cat person, I’ve always been. My dad always calls me the “catgirl” so I made him a cat-themed birthday card using these fabulous kitty stamps. I just love them!! I went for a galaxy background with the cosmic cats jumping around the sentiment.

Next, I have a “thank you” card using Lawn Fawn “Let’s roll” stamp set. I loooooove Japanese-themed things so I had to have this stamp set. I colored the images with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils my sister gifted me on my birthday. They are amazing! I’m looking forward to using them on more projects. By the way, the frame is made using Mama Elephant “Madison Avenue” dies.

Last but not least, I have another birthday card I made for my beloved friend Nora. Nora was my office mate when we were doing our Ph.D. theses and we both have share sad and happy moments. Now I don’t see her every day and I really miss her. So I wanted to make a happy and beautiful birthday card for her and I decided to use Lawn Fawn “Year five” stamps because I love this otter. I also used the “Beachside” paper collection and the frame is made nesting two “stitched circles” dies.

Finally, I want to tell you that I’m super happy with the new Lawn Fawn challenge blog, Lawn Fawnatics! I want to enter this last card into their first challenge: happy birthday.

I also want to introduce the same card into the Seven Hills Crafts March Tic Tac Toe Challenge, how fun is that? Here is the grid:

Animals Watercolour Bold Shades
Embossing Big Words/Letters People

This could be Sakura

Hi everyone!

Today I have a card with a very naughty cat that reminds me of my Sakura. So when I saw this fun stamp from La Vida en Scrap, I immediately thought about making this card.

I stamped the images on Bristol paper with VersaFine onyx black ink, colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and fussy cut everything. The cat is from La Vida en Scrap “Dulce Navidad” stamp set, and the tree and the gifts are from Mama Elephant “Pix’s Happy Holiday” and “Reindeer Games” stamp sets, respectively. I added tons of sparkle to the tinsel with Sakura Stardust Clear Glitter pen, and some less to the ornaments, the star, and the tree. For the gifts, I also used a gold gel pen.

I looooove the sparkle! And the cat is so cute!!

For the floor, I stamped the Lawn Fawn “Woodgrain backdrops” stamp on Bristol paper using Memento peanut brittle ink. Then I colored over it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and trim it to look like a hardwood floor. For the striped wall, I did some masking with Post-it tape and blended Mama Elephant winter pigment ink on watercolor paper. Then I stamped the sentiment (I used Lawn Fawn “Harold’s ABCs” stamp set) with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it using gold and WOW Red Glitz embossing powders. I think the sentiment is perfect for this scene!

I mounted the scene using double-sided tape and foam tape. I added a white cardstock stripe between the floor and the wall to make a baseboard and I also made a rug using Lawn Fawn “Small stitched ovals” dies on Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper. Next, I adhered the scene panel to a Canson Mi-Teintes paper panel, and then attached everything to a card base.  Finally, I added some Glossy Accents to the ornaments and to the star.

I think this scene is so fun! I hope you like it too!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

All I Want for Christmas is You

Hi!!

Today I have another Christmas card featuring La Vida en Scrap stamps. The stamp I used is from a spring-themed stamp set called “Faunia”, but combined with some Lawn Fawn stamps is perfect for a Christmas scene.

I stamped the bow and the mistletoe from Lawn Fawn “Baaah Humbug” stamp set on Bristol paper with Memento Ladybug ink and with Memento bamboo leaves ink. Then, I stamped the hares with VersaFine onyx black ink on Bristol paper masking the hearts and masked the hares to stamp the hearts with red ink. I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut them.

I blended some Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick Distress inks on a watercolor panel with a very light hand to get a soft look, and then spritzed it with water to get some texture. I die cut two hills from white cardstock using Lawn Fawn “Stitched hillside borders” dies and spritzed some water mixed with Perfect Pearls for a frosty touch. It can’t be seen in the pictures, but the result is beautiful! When it was completely dry, I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn “Baaah Humbug” stamp set, masking the “ewe”, and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then I stamped the word “you” from Lawn Fawn “Believe in yourself” stamp set and heat embossed it using WOW Red Glitz embossing powder. Next, I die cut some trees using Mama Elephant “Birch trees” dies and added some shadow to the edges with ShinHan Touch Twin Brush markers.

I mounted the scene using foam tape for the hares and the mistletoe. Finally, I adhered the scene to a card base and added some Wink of Stella to the hearts and the mistletoe.

I love how this turned out. The shimmer on the snow is so pretty! And I think the scene is very sweet 🙂

I hope you like it!

Christmas Cards with La Vida En Scrap

Hola!

Finally, I’ve begun my Christmas cards!! I’m not going to lie, I want to make a ton of them and I’m running out of time. Luckily, the new La Vida En Scrap “Dulce Navidad” stamp set is so beautiful that is very easy to make great Christmas cards with it.

I stamped all the images with VersaFine Onyx black ink on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I added some detail with Sakura white Gelly Roll pen and Sakura Stardust Clear Glitter pen.

I stamped the sentiment Dulce Navidad (Sweet Christmas) with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it using WOW Red Glitz embossing powder. I adhered the watercolor panel to some fun foam to give some dimension and then glued that to Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper and to a Canson Mi-Teintes paper panel. Finally, I attached everything to a card base and added some Glossy Accents here and there for a shiny touch.

I love these cards! They were so much fun to make!! And they are so easy to make that are perfect for mass producing if you are in a hurry.

Aren’t these critters super cute?

I hope you like them.

Have a nice day!

Birthday Card for my nephew

Hi!!

Today I have a card I made for a very special little person: my nephew Telmo, who is turning 4. Time flies!! I wanted to make a childish card for him because I don’t want him to grow up.

I used Mama Elephant “Lunar animals” stamp set. I love those cute animals! I also used the gift from Lawn Fawn “Year five” stamp set and, for the barn, a house from Lawn Fawn “Home sweet home” stamp set. I stamped everything on Bristol paper with VersaFine onyx black ink, colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and fussy cut them. On the little sheep, I used the Marvy snow marker with the heat gun. I love the effect, it’s sooo cool!!

I blended Tumbled Glass Distress ink on a watercolor panel, and then I use Mama Elephant “Picket fence” die and Lawn Fawn “Grassy border” die on watercolor paper and blended Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress inks on the die-cut pieces. I spritzed these pieces with water and let the water sit a few seconds before dry with a paper towel.

I mounted the scene using double-sided tape and foam tape. Next, I adhered the scene panel to some Lawn Fawn “Beachside” paper, and then attached everything to a card base.

I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card with Distress inks, although I knew I wouldn’t get a crisp image. I used the wonderful calligraphy letters stamp set “Escríbeme” from La Vida en Scrap. I love this stamp set! By the way, “zorionak” is what we say in Basque to wish happy birthday.

I can’t wait to give this card to Telmo. I hope he likes it!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day!!

Another Birthday Card

Hola!!

Today I’m sharing another birthday card, this time featuring Mama Elephant “Pix’s Favorites” stamp set. These bunnies are so sweet, aren’t they?

The design of this card is really simple. I stamped the bunnies on Bristol paper using VersaFine onyx black ink, colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, added some details to the dresses with a white gel pen and fussy cut them. Then I used Lawn Fawn “Puffy stars” dies to cut three stars from white cardstock and three from vellum. I blended Fossilized Amber Distress ink on the cardstock stars and sprayed some Perfect Pearls mixed with water on the vellum ones.

I made the sentiment using Lawn Fawn “Harold’s abc” stamp set, stamping it on a black cardstock banner using VersaMark ink, and heat embossing it with white embossing powder. “Zorionak” is what we say in Basque to wish happy birthday.

I glued the vellum stars to the cardstock ones and next adhered the bunnies. Then, I glued everything to a card base. Finally, I added Glossy Accents to the heart for a shiny touch.

I wasn’t sure about that simple design, but in the end, I think I like it. I hope you like it too!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Aitor’s Birthday Card

Hi!!

I’m showing you today the birthday card I made for my boyfriend, whose name is Aitor.  I wanted to make something special for him, so I made a pop-up card. I used MFT “Strike up the band” stamp set designed by Birdie Brown. How cute are these bunnies? And I love the sentiments in the stamp set!

I stamped all the bunnies on Bristol paper with VersaFine onyx black ink and colored everything using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and a gold gel pen for some details. Then I fussy cut all the images. I kept the front panel very simple using Lawn Fawn “Perfectly plaid Christmas” paper and a stripe of white cardstock die cut using Lawn Fawn “Stitched borders” dies. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Ladybug ink and adhered the little drummer with foam tape.

For the inside of the card, I used blue cardstock for the sky, and then I die cut two pieces of green cardstock using Lawn Fawn “Stitched hillside borders” dies. I don’t have any pop-up dies, so I made the pop-up mechanism using a craft knife on the back hillside cardstock. Then I adhered the front hill cardstock to those pop-up elements and glued the bunnies. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant “Make a wish” stamp set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it using WOW clear hologram sparkle embossing powder.

I really like how this card turned out. To be honest, this was my second attempt to make the pop-up mechanism, but I wanted to check if I needed the pop-up dies or if I could make this kind of card without them.

I hope you like this card! Have a nice day!!

Pawsome Nurse

Hola!!

Today I have a very simple card I made combining Simon Says Stamps and Lawn Fawn stamps. I love mixing stamps to create new images, and I think it is a great way to stretch our stamps.

To make this super cute nurse dog, I stamped the Simon Says Stamp “You are pawsome” doggie on Bristol paper with Memento tuxedo black ink and then I added the nurse hat from Lawn Fawn “Get well soon” bird stamp and colored the image with alcohol markers. Then I stamped the band-aid with VersaFine onyx black ink and colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.

For the background panel, I stamped one of the Lawn Fawn “Gingham backdrops” stamps on red cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink. Then, I trimmed a piece of kraft cardstock and stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder.

Finally, I adhered everything together using double-sided tape, and foam tape for the images.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!
