Hi!

Today I have a super sweet card featuring Neat and Tangled “Cottontail Cuties” stamp set, designed by Elena Roussakis. I looooove these cute images and I was looking forward to using them.

I also wanted to participate in the current Little Tangles challenge, themed watercolor. Although watercolor scares me because I feel I don’t have any control, I thought this challenge is the perfect occasion to practice.

First, I stamped the images on Canson watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I did some masking to put the carrot on the girl’s hand and the bunny sitting on the stump, which is from Mama Elephant “Pix’s favorites” stamp set (you could use the one in the Neat and Tangled “Lumberjack love” stamp set, but I don’t have that stamp set!).  Then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to watercolor the images. I had a great time watercoloring everything!

After letting it air dry, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink using my MISTI for a perfect stamping, and the little heart, from Neat and Tangled and Simon Says Stamp “Cute Chicks” stamp set, using Memento Lady Bug ink.  Then, I adhered the panel to a Lawn Fawn pattern paper from the “Perfectly Plaid Christmas” collection and adhered everything to the card base with foam tape.

I love the result, and I’m sure I’m going to use watercolors more often!

I’m entering this card into the Little Tangles Challenge #79: Watercolor
