Hi!!

I’m showing you today the birthday card I made for my boyfriend, whose name is Aitor.  I wanted to make something special for him, so I made a pop-up card. I used MFT “Strike up the band” stamp set designed by Birdie Brown. How cute are these bunnies? And I love the sentiments in the stamp set!

I stamped all the bunnies on Bristol paper with VersaFine onyx black ink and colored everything using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and a gold gel pen for some details. Then I fussy cut all the images. I kept the front panel very simple using Lawn Fawn “Perfectly plaid Christmas” paper and a stripe of white cardstock die cut using Lawn Fawn “Stitched borders” dies. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Ladybug ink and adhered the little drummer with foam tape.

For the inside of the card, I used blue cardstock for the sky, and then I die cut two pieces of green cardstock using Lawn Fawn “Stitched hillside borders” dies. I don’t have any pop-up dies, so I made the pop-up mechanism using a craft knife on the back hillside cardstock. Then I adhered the front hill cardstock to those pop-up elements and glued the bunnies. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant “Make a wish” stamp set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it using WOW clear hologram sparkle embossing powder.

I really like how this card turned out. To be honest, this was my second attempt to make the pop-up mechanism, but I wanted to check if I needed the pop-up dies or if I could make this kind of card without them.

I hope you like this card! Have a nice day!!

I’m entering this card into MFT Color Challenge #58:
