Hi!!

Today I want to share a spring-themed “congrats” card I made for the current Little Tangles challenge. I have bought some Neat and Tangled stamps and dies lately and I was looking forward to using them! This card features Neat and Tangled and Simon Says Stamp collaboration stamp set called “Cute Chicks”, designed by Elena Roussakis. I totally love this set. Is one of the happiest stamp sets I have seen! Plus, I love Elena’s work as a card maker and also as a designer. She designs amazing stamps!

The theme of the current Little Tangles challenge is “rainbow” and as I couldn’t decide between light and bold colors, I made two cards.

First, I masked the top of two pieces of Bristol paper with post-it note tape and blended some colors in rainbow order. The inks I used in each card are listed in the corresponding image caption.  I sprinkled some water and dried it up with a paper towel after few seconds.

I die cut the word “congrats” using Neat and Tangled “Journaling Alphas” dies. Then I stamped the big drumming chicken and the two little chicks and I colored them using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Both cards are colored in a very similar way. After the coloring, I adhered a piece of acetate behind the front panels and glued the little pieces of the “o”, “r” and “a”. Then I put foam tape on the backside of the panels to make shaker cards. I filled the shakers with “Twinkle Lights Sparkly Shaker Selection” from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards. Then, I adhered the card bases to the panels and stamped the sentiment “Hope this puts a spring in your step” on the inside of one of the cards because I plan to mail it to my friend Nora that just defended her Ph.D. thesis.

I love how these cards turned out, I think they are super happy cards.
