Hi!

Today I’m sharing a card featuring Lawn Fawn “Rooting for you” stamps and dies. These have been on my wishlist for so long because although I love them, I hadn’t many ink pads. So lately I’ve been adding Lawn Fawn ink pads to my collection and finally decided to get this stamp set. Best purchase ever! I love it!! I wish Lawn Fawn come up with a “Rooting for you, too” stamp set with more vegetables, like corn, tomato, lettuce, aubergine or zucchini, and some “amaizeing” sentiments :p I’d love to decorate my recipe book with those!

First I stamped the images using Lawn Fawn Grape Soda ink and Seedless Preserves Distress ink for the beets and Twisted Citron Distress ink and Lawn Fawn Jalapeño ink for the leaves. I added the eyes with black ink and the blush with Lawn Fawn Peachy Keen ink. Then, I run the imaged through my Big Shot using coordinating dies. For the background, I blended Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar on a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper I had die cut with Lawn Fawn “Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables” dies. Then I spritzed some water and dried it with a paper towel after a few seconds. I mixed Nuvo Mousse on Indian Gold color with a little bit of water and flicked some drops on my panel with a brush.

I wanted to frame my beets to draw attention so I used Lawn Fawn “Outside In Stitched Scalloped Circles Stackables” on a piece of paper and then run it through my Big Shot again using a die from Lawn Fawn “Stitched Circles” dies slightly smaller. Then, I apply a layer of the mixture of Nuvo Mousse and water I had used before to this frame. I glued the background panel to the card base and adhered the golden frame. I adhered the beets using foam tape. For the sentiment, I used Lawn Fawn “Harold’s ABCs” stamps to spell “Our hearts beet as one”. I heat embossed the sentiment on gold on a strip of black cardstock and then glued it to the card using foam tape. As a final touch, I added some heats from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards “Carousel Mix.

I’m entering this card into Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #46 – Color Inspiration:

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great week!
