Hi!

Today I want to show you a card featuring Neat and Tangled “Later Alligator” stamps and dies. I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it and I was super lucky because I received it for participating in the Neat and Tangled Throwdown Challenge — Crafting with Compassion.

I had to make a card for my dad using these Crocodiles because he loves the song “See you later, alligator”. Every time I remember my dad and mom singing the Spanish version of this song it makes me smile 🙂

I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. As I have a tendency to color all the images on dark colors this time I tried some more light coloring and I’m quite happy with the result. Once colored, I die cut the images with coordinating dies.

I wanted to make a kind of CAS card, which is completely out of my comfort zone, so I opted for die cutting two windows on a white panel using Lawn Fawn “Outside in Stitched Scalloped Circle Stackables” dies. Next, I used a Lawn Fawn “Stitched Circles” die slightly larger than my window to die cut two pieces from Lawn Fawn pattern paper from the Let’s Polka collections to put behind the scalloped windows.

I stamped the sentiment using Lawn Fawn inks on Narwhal, Pumpkin Spice and Guava colors (this last is my favorite so far!!). This way the sentiment coordinates with the pattern paper. I glued the circle die cuts to the card base and glued the white panel to the top left corner with foam tape. Then, I added the alligators and glued two thin stripes of pattern paper to the lower and right sides.

I’m saving this card for Father’s day, which in Spain is on March 19. I know as soon as he sees it is going to start singing 🙂

Thank you very much for stopping by! Have a great day!!
