Hi there!

Today I’m showing you a card featuring Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. I had the idea for this card when I made the Kissing Seals Card, and the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge was the perfect pretext to make it! This time I used a mechanism inspired by Grace’s ( @allbygracec) amazing interactive cards.

First, I stamped the images from Lawn Fawn “Home Sweet Home” and “Out Of This Word” stamp sets on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink and colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I die cut the sun and fussy cut the birds. I used Lawn Fawn “Simple Puffy Clouds” and “Simple Puffy Cloud Frames” dies on white cardstock and vellum to die cut some clouds for the sky.

I used Lawn Fawn “Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables” dies to die cut a panel and I blended Salty Ocean Distress ink on it using My Favorite Things “Cloud” stencil. I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn “Let’s Bokeh” stamp set using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder. Next, I run the panel through my Big Shot machine using Waffle Flower “Pull Tabs” dies to prepare the panel for the mechanism. The tab that makes the sun appear from behind the clouds is die cut using Lawn Fawn “Slide On Over” dies and to die cut the little slot in the panel I used one of the tiny dies from Mama Elephant “FBA-Monkey”. I used a brad to put together the two tabs and glued the sun to one tab and a thin strip of acetate to the pull tab mechanism that makes the bird move.

Detail of the mechanism. Please, excuse the poor quality of the picture.

Then, I glued the clouds using foam tape, being careful not to interfere with the moving parts of the mechanism. I glued this panel with foam tape to a piece of pattern paper from Lawn Fawn “Let’s Polka” collection and then adhered everything to a card base. As a final touch, I added baker’s twine to the pull tab to make it easier to use.

I’m entering this card into Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #47 – What’s the Weather:

Last, here you have a video of the interactive element moving. Hope you like it!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Have an amazing day!
