Hi!!!

Sorry for been MIA! I haven’t post anything lately because my hubby and I have been road tripping the US. We drove between Chicago and New Orleans and visited many cities, and we really enjoyed our trip.

Today I’m sharing a birthday card I made for my brother featuring Mama Elephant “Tiny Ninjas” stamps and dies. I’m a sucker for any Japanese themed stuff, so this is one of my favorite ME stamp sets.

First, I stamped the two ninjas which are mirror images on Neenah white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink, colored them with alcohol markers and die cut them. Next, I stamped other ninja images on a white panel with Mama Elephant Winter ink. The idea was to record the trajectory of the ninja on a subtle color and spotlight the spinning ninja, if that makes sense.

Then, I used a star shaped die from Lawn Fawn “Puffy stars” dies to make the window for my spinning ninja. I used the shame die on the card base as well. I sandwiched a clear thread between the two ninjas, glued the threads ends to the card base and adhered the front panel to the card base. The sentiment (from Mama Elephant “Brushed florals” stamp set) was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I wanted to highlight the spinning ninja, so I die cut a star from Simon Says Stamp “Glimmery Sunshine” cardstock, a little bit bigger than the window, and glued it on the inside of the card.

I also decorated the envelope stamping two ninjas, one on the front and one on the rear, and colored them with Prismacolor pencils.
