Hi!!

Today I have a card featuring Lawn Fawn and Ellen Hutson “Love ya bunches” collaboration stamps. These monkeys are the cutest!! I’m very lucky because a super kind crafty friend sent me some stamped on Neenah cardstock (Thank you <3 )

First, I colored the images with alcohol markers and fussy cut everything. I wanted to die cut the word hello from some pattern paper, so I blended Scattered Straw Distress Ink on a piece of Bristol paper, stamped one of the Lawn Fawn “Sharp backdrops” stamps with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Next, I blended Fossilized Amber Distress Ink on top and used Neat and Tangled “Journaling Alphas” dies to die cut the word “hello” from this pattern paper.

For the background, I used the ink smooshing technique. Honestly, this is definitely out of my comfort zone. I can’t hardly stand the feeling of not having control over the inking. But when I see backgrounds made with this technique I love them! I used Scattered Straw and Twisted Citron for my background and splattered some drops of these Distress Inks with a paintbrush. I’m quite happy with the way this turned out! Next, I used Mama Elephant “Peek a frame” dies on a piece of black cardstock to die cut stitched panel which I turned into a frame using my craft knife.

Finally, I adhered the background panel to a card base and glued the stripe with the sentiment, the black frame, and the rest of the elements. I love the monkey holding the E letter backward 🙂

I’m entering this card into Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #10: Custom Sentiment

and into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Splatter it

I hope you like this card! Have a wonderful day!!
