Love You Veggie Much

Hola!

Valentine’s day is around the corner and today I’m sharing a card featuring Heffy Doodle “Veggie Patch” stamp set. The images on this set are super cute and the sentiments are so funny! I love veggie stamps because I think they are super versatile: you can use them for your cards but also for your recipe notebooks or for tagging the veggies on your patch.

HF-CumpleCarla2020a

The images are colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I made a tablecloth to place the vegetables using Lawn Fawn “Gingham Backdrops” stamp set on a piece of white cardstock I die cut using Sunny Studios “Fishtail Banner II” dies.

HF-CumpleCarla2020b

I can’t make a card with a lot of white space, so I inked the top of the card with a mint color and used the same ink to make a pattern stamping the hearts and the stems. Last, I added the sentiment heat embossing it white on a stripe of black cardstock.

Adriana’s Birthday Card

Hola!

Birthday cards are definitely the ones I send the most, probably because in Spain these and Christmas ones are practically the only ones we send. And even though I use to give non-birthday cards for birthdays, when it is for a little one I try to stick with the theme. Today I’m sharing a birthday card featuring Mama Elephant “Little Cat Agenda” stamps and dies. This card was for a girl called Adriana, who asked me for hearts on her birthday card. It makes me so happy that she loves it when I give her one of my cards!

ME-CumpleAdri2020a

Honestly, I had a hard time finding hearts in my stash because I don’t like them very much on my cards. So I used a die from Lawn Fawn “Stitched Party Banners” die set on a white cardstock panel repeatedly to create a grid and I adhered it to a pink ink blended panel.

ME-CumpleAdri2020b

I colored the cats grey and used pinks, blues, and reds for their accessories. At this point, I think this could have been Valentine’s card, but I added a birthday sentiment from Lawn Fawn “Meow you Doin'” stamp set that pairs perfectly with the kitties.

I think this turned out quite well and, most important, Adriana was super happy with her birthday card 🙂

Happy Chinese New Year

Hi!

Today I’m sharing a Chinese New Year card I made using Mama Elephant “Lion Dance” stamp set.

AñoRata2020c

Mama Elephant “Lion Dance” stamp set is probably one of my favorite ones. To color the cute images I used a classic red and yellow color palette. I love the lions and the kids!

AñoRataTodos2020a

I wanted one of the dragons actually dancing, so I used this mechanism I found on Karolyn’s blog. If you don’t know her, you should check her blog! She is incredibly talented and makes some of the most clever interactive cards. Plus, her video tutorials are amazing and super easy to follow!

Here is a short video where you can watch the lion dancing and… surprise! There is a girl with a special message for you!

I’m super happy with this card! It is one of these projects that turned out as it was on my mind. I hope you like it!!

Party Banner for Donostia Eguna

Hello!

Today I’m sharing with you a very special project. I live in the north of Spain, in a city called San Sebastián (Donostia in Basque) and today we’re celebrating the day of our city. Every year on January 20 the city holds a drum festival called “Tamborrada”. People dressed as soldiers and chefs play drums for 24 hours. You can read more about it here and also I encourage you to watch this video to learn about it because I think it’s a very special celebration.

SS2020-01

I used My Favorite Things “Strike up the Band” stamp set. I’ve always wanted to use these bunnies for this kind of project but never been sure about how to use them since I needed also chefs. I decided to mirror stamp them once. Then, to make the chefs, I partially masked the hats and the baton and made a hat using a cloud stamp and also stamped a spoon for the leader of the chefs. Everything is colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I even added some parsley to one of the chefs!

SS2020-02

The banner is made with Lawn Fawn “Stitched Party Banners” dies. I made two kinds of patterns, one using the drum and the drumstick from the same MFT stamp set, and the other one using the cutlery from Lawn Fawn “Just for you” stamp set.

SS2020-04

I added a circle die-cut from blue cardstock and used foam tape to glue the bunnies. On the central banner, I added the SS for the name of the city, die-cut using Neat and Tangled “Journaling Alphas” dies.

SS2020-05

I love how this banner turned out! I think the stamp alteration went quite well! Now I can decorate my home for the festivity 🙂

I hope you like this project. Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day!!

Happy Birthday Chickies

Hi!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card featuring these super cute chickies from Mama Elephant “Party Animals” stamp set. I looooove these! My absolute favorite is the one with the banjo!!

ME-CumpleMaribel2019a

I colored the images using color pencils. I love this medium and I really enjoy practicing with pencils. I used a stencil to make the cloudy sky and added three layers of grassy hills to tuck my chickies.

ME-CumpleMaribel2019b

As the string of the ballon was short for my card, I added a black thread. Last, added the cute scalloped frame die cut from Lawn Fawn “Perfectly Plaid Chill” paper collection, which I think goes well the color palette.

Thanks for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Warm Winter Wishes Card

Hola!

First of all, let me wish you an amazing 2020! I can’t believe how fast time goes by!! Today I have a winter-themed card featuring Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp “Snow Bunnies” collaboration stamp set. I love the whimsical look of the images in this one!

LF-SnowBunnies2019a

I wanted to color the images in a way they look like storybook illustrations, so I stamped them on kraft cardstock and colored them using color pencils.

LF-SnowBunnies2019b

I used a stencil and texture paste to add the knit pattern and stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn “Baaah Humbug” set in red. Last, I adhered this panel to a red cardstock background.

I know this card is quite simple but I love how it turned out. I hope you like it too!

Christmas cards

Hi and Merry Christmas!

I’ve finished some Christmas cards I’m giving to my family. As always, I’ve been in a last-minute rush. This year cards are based on a wrapping paper design by Rifle Paper. I love the contrast between the dark blue background and the bright lights and Lawn Fawn “String of Lights” dies are perfect for this project!

LF-Navidad2019a

For the background, I used Canson Mi-Teintes Indigo Blue paper. I know I say it again and again, but I love the texture of this paper! The light bulbs are colored with Distress Inks, and I used some thin washi tape for the string because I don’t have glitter nor gold cardstock.

LF-Navidad2019b

I used Mama Elephant “Sentiments of a Yeti” stamp set for the sentiment. I love the font of the word Christmas! I also stamped the blink on some light bulbs using Delicata Golden Glitz ink.

LF-Navidad2019c

I love how these cards turned out! They were quite quick and easy to make. I hope you like them too.

I hope you have a Happy Christmas celebrating with your loved ones. Feliz Navidad!!!

Telmo’s Birthday Party Invites

Hi!

It’s that time of the year when I’m sharing the invites I’ve made for my nephew’s birthday party. Every year I try to find a design that I find easy to replicate because I have to make quite a few and I really don’t like making the same card again and again. But I do love making the invites for Telmo because I think it’s a very beautiful detail.

ME-CumpleTelmo2019a

I decided to use Mama Elephant “Tiny Ninjas” stamps and dies because I think they’re perfect for a 7-year-old and because the images are very easy to color. Plus, I’m a sucker for Japanese themed things. I colored the images using ShinHan alcohol markers.

ME-CumpleTelmo2019b

I went for a night cityscape. I used yellow tape to cover the tiny windows of the die cuts and I made my own starry stencil and applied a layer of a mixture of texture paste and glitter.

ME-CumpleTelmo2019c

This year I decided to use Mama Elephant “DIY Invitation” stamps inside the invites to make things easier. This stamp set saved me a lot of time!

ME-CumpleTelmo2019d

Tell me, do you make this kind of project for your children? Do you enjoy batch card making?

One More Halloween Card

Hola!

Are you ready for trick-or-treating? I wish we celebrate Halloween here in Spain! For some time now we can see some decorations and some pubs are starting to celebrate Halloween parties, but is not a big thing… But this year I’m so happy because, first, I managed to make three Halloween cards! and second, because the Lab Technician has decorated the labs with some ghost, pumpkin and bat images 😀

ME-LastHalloween2019a

Today’s card also features Mama Elephant “Meowlloween” and “Meowlloween Extras” stamps. The design is very simple, so I stamped a pattern in a very light ink color using the small images in these sets to add some interest.

ME-LastHalloween2019b

I used a classic halloweeny color scheme and a tiny sentiment. I love that sentiment, I think it goes very well with those cute images.

Witch Kitty Card

Hello!

Today I have another Halloween themed card to share with you. As I told you, I had colored (and fussy cut!) lots of images from Mama Elephant “Meowlloween” and “Meowlloween Extras” stamp sets, so I could make more cards using them.

ME-Bujita2019a

I love this simple card design! I’m not a CAS card maker, but so much white space in this card makes me happy. Plus, I think no matter the card you make, with these super cute images is going to be a sweet one.

ME-Bujita2019c

I’m very happy with how this card turned out. I think maybe this cat in witch costume is my favorite image but only because I’ve been obsessed with witches since I was a child. In fact, I have the witch figurine you see in the photo since I was 3 years old!

Meowlloween Card

Hi!

It’s been a month since I blogged a card… sorry for being MIA! I had quite a busy time: I told you my dad had hip replacement surgery and I was taking care of him. Well, he is doing great! He is having a very speedy recovery 🙂 Also, I had to travel because of work, so I had not much time to craft. I was worried because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (even though we don’t celebrate it in Spain) and I was not sure if I was going to be in time for some Halloween cards. Luckily, I manage to make at least one!!

ME-Meowlloween2019a

I used Mama Elephant “Meowlloween” and “Meowlloween Extras” stamp sets. These kitties in their costumes are the cutest!! I had a great time coloring them. I wanted to create a spooky scene although, honestly, these images are too cute to spook 😉

ME-Meowlloween2019c

I love how this turned out. Now I hope to carve out some time for more Halloween cards since I have a bunch of images from these sets already colored.

One Last Summer Card

Hola!

Lately, I’ve been not crafting nor blogging as much as I wanted. In fact these days I’m at my dad’s house because he had hip replacement surgery and although he is recovering very well he needs some help. I’ve brought some stamps and color pencils and I hope to have some time to color something! Anyways, I have a card to share with you featuring Hello Bluebird “Seaside Girls” stamps and dies. I know it’s officially fall but we are having some lovely sunny days and (sometimes) September is still summer in Basque Country. Plus I really wanted to use these sweet girls!!

HB-CumpleArantza01

I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink. Then, I colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and die cut them using coordinating dies. I also added some highlights and details with a white gel pen.

I made a very simple background because I didn’t want to distract the attention from the girls. I used Lawn Fawn “Stitched Oval Stackables” dies on Bristol cardstock and then blended Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand, Tumbled Glass for the sea and Tattered Rose for the sky. Then, I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx black ink and Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink. I also stamped the seagulls using Mama Elephant Winter ink.

HB-CumpleArantza02

I glued the images to the panel and then I adhered the panel to the top of another oval piece to make the card. I wanted to frame the scene, so I die cut an oval one nesting two oval dies. I used a blue alcohol marker to color the frame and glued it to the background panel.

I love how this turned out. I really enjoyed coloring the girls!

Every Morning Concert

Hi!

Today I’m sharing a reveal wheel card inspired by my cats, especially by Sakura. Every morning she wakes us up meowing, in all the different ways you can imagine! When I saw Lawn Fawn “Critter Chatter: Pets” stamp set I immediately thought about her 🙂

LF-RevealSaku01

First, I stamped the images from “Meow you doing'” on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink. Then, I colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and die cut them using coordinating dies. For the cat’s bed, I made some paper piecing using Lawn Fawn “Let’s Polka in the Meadow” paper collection.

LF-RevealSaku02

Next, I used “Reveal Wheel” dies on white cardstock. I made a pattern using repeatedly Waffle Flower “Pattern Play” stamps with Lawn Fawn Minty Fresh ink. I love this ink color! On another panel, I drew a chess floor with pencil and colored it with a black alcohol marker. I put the scene together, using foam tape to glue the cat.

LF-RevealSaku03

I stamped the cat’s sounds on the wheel using black ink and then assembled the card. I used the same Lawn Fawn pattern paper to frame the scene and glued everything to a black cardstock panel. I also added the frame for the window and the little arrow in black. Last, I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and glued it to the card.

This card was so fun to make! I love reveal wheel cards, and this one reminds me of my kitties and makes me giggle every time I play with it 🙂 I hope you like it too!!

My First Light-Up Card!

Hola!

Today I’m super excited because I’m sharing my first light-up card ever! I had some Chibitronics supplies a long time ago and it seems I couldn’t find a good card design to use them. Finally, I decided to use Lawn Fawn “Turn me on” stamp set, which I think is the best love themed stamp set ever!!

LF-Chibi01

First, I used Lawn Fawn “Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables” dies to die cut a panel from some Bristol paper. I placed a circular mask in the center of the panel and used Mama Elephant “Swinging Borders” stamps to stamp the string of lights with Versafine Onyx black ink. Then, I replaced the mask by its negative to stamp the image again in Mama Elephant Winter pigment ink. I colored the light bulbs with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers in rainbow order and heat embossed the sentiment in silver.

LF-Chibi03

Next, I used “Turn me on” coordinating dies to die cut the light bulb twice from my panel. Then, I draw a template on another panel and used the copper tape and the led stickers to make the circuit. I placed the battery to close the circuit and it worked!! Yay!!

LF-Chibi05

I stamped the light bulbs on vellum with Versafine Onyx black ink and heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder. Then, I glued the vellum pieces behind the panel, adding four layers of vellum to diffuse the light and to hide the circuit. I die cut the light bulb bases using Lawn Fawn “String of Lights” dies, heat embossed the pieces with silver embossing powder and glued them to the images. The black string is made using the same dies. For the scalloped frame, I used Lawn Fawn “Outside in Scalloped Stitched Circle Stackables” and “Stitched Circle Stackables” dies and heat embossed the piece using silver embossing powder too. Last, I glued the panel to an A2 size panel from Lawn Fawn “Let’s Polka in the Dark” paper collection and adhered everything to a top folding card base.

LF-Chibi07

I love love love how this turned out! As a physicist, I’ve loved playing with Chibitronics, it reminds me of my youngest days in the teaching lab 😀 Besides, it is super easy to use and on the Chibitronics blog there are awesome tutorials by the design team!

Beach Babes Interactive Card

Hola!

Today I have a fun interactive card to share with you featuring Hello Bluebird “Beach Babes” stamp set. As soon as I saw this stamp set, I fell in love with those piggies. Aren’t they too cute? And I knew I wanted to make this kind of interactive card with the piggies playing in the water. I got mad thinking of how to make a mechanism to make one pig go up while the other goes down, and finally, I found the one I used on a book called “Pop-Up! A manual of paper mechanisms” by Duncan Birmingham.

HB-BeachBabes2019a

First, I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I used Neat and Tangled “Backdrop” stamp to mirror stamp one of the pigs. Then, I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I tried to color the pigs with soft colors, because I generally tend to use bold colors, and I’m pretty happy with the result. I used coordinating dies to die cut all the images. Next, I inked a piece of Bristol paper with Wild Honey, Scattered Straw and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks, spritzed some water and dried it with a paper towel after few seconds. For the sea, I inked two pieces of Bristol paper I had die cut using Mama Elephant “Ocean Waves Trio” dies with VersaColor ink in mint color.

HB-BeachBabes2019b

HB-BeachBabes2019c

To make the mechanism, I used Waffle Flower “Pull Tabs” dies and Lawn Fawn “Slide on-over” dies. I have some pictures of a prototype of the mechanism at the end of the post. I hope it helps to understand how it works! I used foam tape to adhere the panel with the mechanism to the background panel, and also to glue the front wave panel so the pigs can move easily. Then I glued the pig with the floaty and the water drops. I also decorated the pull tab with some patterned paper. Here you can watch a video of the mechanism in action 😀

I’m very happy with this card, although it was kinda hard to make and I spent quite a time making the mechanism work, but, honestly, I love making interactive cards!!

I’m entering this card into Simon Says Stamp’s Work It Wednesday:

Hope you like this card! Thanks for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Here are some pictures of the mechanism:

When you pull the green pull tab, the pink tabs move and force the yellow pull bars, that are connected to the pink ones with a brad and fed through a slit, to move vertically. The pink sleeves on the front of the card are to guide the yellow tabs. In my card, this mechanism was mounted on the background wave panel, and I adhered the pigs to the yellow pull bars. As I wanted the beach ball to move horizontally, I used a strip of acetate I adhered to the back of the green pull tab. I want to point out that in the card I used acetate for the pull bars because I found they needed to be sturdy.

Ocean Scene Surprise Card

Hola!

Today I’m sharing a card I made with some images I’ve colored for The Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge. I’ve already shared these images on Instagram, but now I want to show you an ocean scene card I’ve made with them. At first sight, we have a simple beach scene, but when we open the card there is an underwater scene too!

LF-BeautifulBeaches2019d

I stamped the images on Strathmore Bristol Vellum paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink. This paper has a different texture on each side, I used the smoother one. Then, I colored all the images with Faber-Castell Polychromos color pencils. I used images from Lawn Fawn “On the beach”, “Sea Horsin’ Around”, “So Jelly”, “You are Sublime”, “Manateerific”, and “Lovable Legends” stamp sets and then I die cut everything using coordinating dies, except for the Kraken.

LF-BeautifulBeaches2019a

I don’t know if this kind of folding card has a specific name, but if you do, please, tell me because I’d love to know! I prepared a long piece of paper and scored it so when is closed it is a 4-Bar card. I blended Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean on the top of this card base to make the sky and stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx black ink. Then, I used Lawn Fawn “Stitched Hillside Borders” dies to die cut some wavy panels from Bristol paper. I inked these panels to be the sand on my scene, using Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks and then I spritzed a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water. Next, I used Mama Elephant “Ocean Waves Trio” dies on a long piece of Bristol paper, blended Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio on it and flicked some water. I scored this panel and glued it along with the sandy hills to the card base.

LF-BeautifulBeaches2019b

Finally, I adhered all the images to the card and added some details to them: Sakura Black Glaze pen to the eyes and Glossy Accents to the windows of the submarine. Here you have a video of the folding/unfolding of the card:

This is one of those cards that turned out just how I had planned. I love it! Coloring all those images totally worth the effort 🙂

I colored everything with Faber-Castell Polychromos color pencils. I know I need to improve a lot, but I really enjoy coloring with this medium. After everything was colored, I used Lawn Fawn “Outside in Stitched Rectangle Stackables” to die cut the panel and then stamped the sentiment. Finally, I adhered the panel to a card base using foam tape.

I hope you like it!

Fiesta Veraniega

Hi friends!

Today I’m sharing my project for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and that is why the title of the blog post is Fiesta Veraniega (Summer Party) because the challenge is about parties.

LF-FAP01

To decorate the bottles I used Lawn Fawn “On the Beach” stamps and dies. I love the fox and the bear tanning. I wish I could, but I have very pale skin and I sunburn easily.

LF-FAP06

First I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink and colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Then, I used coordinating dies to die cut the images.

LF-FAP02

I cut strips of blue and kraft color cardstock and then used Mama Elephant “Ocean Waves Trio” dies for the sea and Lawn Fawn “Stitched Hillside Borders” dies for the sand. To give more texture to the sandy pieces, I splattered some Gathered Twigs and Picket Fence Distress Inks mixed with water as well as a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls in copper color. Next, I wrapped the bottles and added the images. Maybe it is a busy scene, especially for a bottle decoration, but I love it!!

LF-FAP4-5

I made some straw decorations too. I thought it would be nice to have beach umbrellas for the critters. To make them I used Lawn Fawn “Outside In Stitched Scalloped Circle Stackables” dies. I used the biggest die on Bristol paper and then did some masking to ink the sectors. I used Abandoned Coral, Mermaid Lagoon and Scattered Straw Distress Inks.

LF-FAP07

Then I scored the pieces and, after die cutting a circle in the middle, I cut them in half (following the black line I drew in the picture) and glued the two pieces together. Last, I folded the flaps using the stitching line. I love how the beach umbrellas turned out!

ASOIAF themed Mother’s Day card

Hola!

So long since the last post! Sorry for being MIA. We went on a vacation to Canada: Montreal, the Rockies, and Vancouver. We had a great time and I got amazed for the beauty of Canadian natural parks, the kindness of the locals and the vivid cities. I’m sure I’ll return to Canada in the future!!

Today I’m sharing a pop-up card I made more than a month ago, for Spanish Mother’s Day, and that I haven’t given to the recipient yet. Anyway, I hope she likes it! So, with the hype of GOT final season, I decide to make an ASOIAF themed card. Mama Elephant “Me and My Dragon” and “Dragon Wishes” stamp sets have absolutely darling images! These may be some of my all time fav stamp set!

ME-CDHYF-2019a

First I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink and colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I tried to match the colors of the dragons in the books, but I couldn’t color a Viserion I liked (white and gold) so I went for a blue and pink dragon. I used a white gel pen to add details to the dragons and die cut the images using coordinating dies. For the card front, I used a piece of pattern paper from Dear Lizzy’s Lovely Day collection. I think this paper is perfect for the card, with Dany riding Drogon, adhered with foam tape. The word Mom is stamped with Lawn Fawn Narwhal ink using La Vida en Scrap “Escríbeme” caligraphy stamp set.

ME-CDHYF-2019b

For the inside of the card, I used Mama Elephant “Kingdom Trio” dies on several colors of Canson Mi-Teintes paper. I know I’ve said it before, but I love the texture of this paper! I used Lawn Fawn “Everyday Pop-ups” dies to build the scene. For the background, I blended Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold Distress inks. Last, I adhered the images and stamped the sentiment from “Dragon Wishes” with Versamark ink and heat embossed it on white.

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great week!

Greedy Bear Card

Hola!

Today I’m sharing a card of a greedy bear trying to steal some honey from the hard-working bees! I thought Mama Elephant “FBA-Bear” dies would pair perfectly with Hello Bluebird “Bee Happy” stamp set 🙂

MEyHB-GreedyBear2019a

First, I stamped the bees on some Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink. I colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut them. I added Wink Of Stella to the wings and some highlights with a white gel pen. I also used Glossy Accents on the glasses of one of the bees.

Next, I used Mama Elephant dies to die cut the bear. I used Canson Mi-Teintes paper for the body, kraft cardstock for the muzzle, and pink cardstock for the ears. For the paws I used “FBA-Monkey” dies.

MEyHB-GreedyBear2019b

For the cloudy background, I inked a piece of Bristol paper using Salty Ocean Distress ink and MFT “Cloud” stencil. Next, I blended Wild Honey Distress Ink and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink on a Bristol paper panel and used a die from Lawn Fawn “Stitched Oval Stackables” dies to cut a window. Then, I stamped the hexagons using the same Spiced Marmalade ink. The sentiment was white heat embossed on a thin stripe of black cardstock.

MEyHB-GreedyBear2019d

Last, I assembled everything. I adhered the cloudy panel to a card base and the hive panel to that, using foam tape. I glued the bear tucking him behind the oval window. I added Glossy Accents to his eyes and nose and, once it was dried, added some highlights with a white gel pen. I adhered the sentiment and the bees to the card using glue and foam tape.

I think this card turned out pretty well and I think it’s really cute! I hope you like it too!!

Just Because Slider Card

Hola!

Today I’m sharing a card using my first Hello Bluebird stamp set. I wanted these bees since the first I saw them and eventually added them to my collection. I love them!! And I think this stamp set is so versatile, with cute critters, beautiful flowers, and geometric shapes.

HB-BeeCause2019a

First, I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Next, I fussy cut everything. I blended Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar Distress Inks on the background panel and then splattered some water and dried it with a paper towel after a few seconds. Next, I spritzed some Perfect Pearls mixed with water and also added some flicks of Salty Ocean and Worn Lipstick. I stamped the sentiment “just bee-cause” using Lawn Fawn Fish Tank ink.

HB-BeeCause2019b

I used Lawn Fawn “Slide On Over” dies to make the slider mechanism for me little bee. I used foam tape to adhere the panel to a card base, using a cent coin and a little piece of double foam tape to make my bee fly through the slider track. Then, I added a white frame die cut using Mama Elephant “Madison Avenue” dies. Next, I glued the flowers to the background, tucking them behind the frame. As a final touch, I added Glossy Accents to the honey jar and Wink of Stella to the wings.

I love how this turned out! I hope you like it too! Here you have a short video of the bee flying from flower to flower 🙂
