Hi!

Today I’m sharing a card featuring the fabulous “Boo” stamp set from Waffle Flower. I think the bear and the bird look great in their costumes! Although Halloween is not very popular in Spain, I have weakness for all Halloween themed things. Plus, as a child I loooooved witches, and I still love them. It was a very strange thing, because 6 year-old girls don’t have witches all over their room, but I did! So when I saw this stamp set immediately fell in love with it.

For making this card, first I stamped the images on Strathmore Drawing paper using Versafine Onyx black ink and colored them with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. Then, I fussy cut all the images. For my background I blended Shaded Lilac, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord Distress Inks on a piece of Bristol paper, splattered some water and dried it with a paper towel after few seconds.

Next, I die cut some trees from white cardstock using Mama Elephant “Birch trees” dies and some grass from black cardstock using Lawn Fawn “Grassy borders” dies. Then, I used Lawn Fawn ” Puffy cloud borders” dies on a piece of vellum spritzed with a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water and on a piece of Bristol paper. On the latter, I blended Pumice Stone Distress Ink, stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant “Meowlloween Extras” stamp set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder.

I adhered the trees and the vellum clouds to the background panel and then I glued some clear thread to the backside of the bear, because I wanted it to be suspended. I glued the ends of the thread to the upper and lower parts of the panel and then adhered the grass and the clouds using foam tape. Last, I adhered the rest of the images using foam tape and added some Wink of Stella on the witch hat.
