Today I’m sharing a couple of snow globe shaped cards but instead of Christmasy, they are fall and Halloweeny ones. I used Lawn Fawn “Ready, Set, Snow” add-on dies, which are great for shaker cards!
First, let’s take a look at the fall themed shaker.
I used Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp Stamptember collaboration stamp, “Nutty or Nice”. I fell in love with this stamp set and I wanted to use it not only for Christmas cards. I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut them. By the way, the branch is from Lawn Fawn “Home Sweet Home” stamp set and the sentiment from Lawn Fawn “Ready, Set Shake” stamp set.
I used “Ready, Set, Snow” add-on dies on watercolor paper and inked the pieces with Scattered Straw and Wild Honey Distress inks. For the snow globe base, I used kraft cardstock. I stamped the “Woodgrain Backdrop” stamp with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and then used Walnut Stain Distress ink to darken the edges. Finally, I added the leaves to the shaker, for which I used Mama Elephant “Birch Trees” dies.
Now, let’s check the Halloween themed card.
For this shaker, I used Mama Elephant “Meowlloween Extras” stamp set. I colored the images with Zigs and fussy cut everything. That was a lot of fussy cutting!! But totally worth it, because I love the candy corn as shaker element. I used Mama Elephant “Picket Fence” die on black cardstock to add a spooky fence and inked the scene with Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves Distress inks.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder. Last, I added all the small pieces of candy corn and closed the shaker.
I’m entering this last card into SHC VIP’s October Challenge: Shades of Halloween.
I hope you like this project! Thanks for stopping by!!
