Hi!!

Today I’m sharing with you some graduation cards. Two of them are for a couple of workmates, Izaskun and Alex, who are defending their Ph.D. theses these days. The other two are for my nephew Telmo and for my sister-in-law María, who just finished their school year. In fact, I just wanted to use all the images from Mama Elephant “Page huggers” stamp set, because they’re sooo cute 🙂

First, I stamped all the images on Bristol paper with Versafine Onyx black ink and colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I don’t have the coordinating dies, so I fussy cut everything and used my craft knife to cut the paws.

Next, I die cut four pieces of watercolor paper using one of Mama Elephant “Peek a frame” dies, the one with rounded corners. As I wanted to use emboss resist technique, I stamped repeatedly different stamps on each background with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder, except for the bunny card, where I used Wow “Bluetiful” embossing powder. Then, I inked these panels with different Distress Inks: you can check the products I used on each card in picture captions (click the image).

For the sentiment, I die cut four times the words Celebrate (Neat and Tangled) and Hooray  (Mama Elephant) from white cardstock and layered them together. I also die cut four different pattern papers using Mama Elephant “Peek a frame” big die. Next, I adhered these pattern panels to card bases and glued the rest of the elements.

I added Glossy Accents to the glasses and some Wink of Stella to the die-cut words. I also glued some sequins here and there to add some interest.

I hope you like these cards!!

I’m entering this project into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday ChallengeUse Patterned Paper
