Hi!!

Yesterday was my sister’s birthday (¡Felicidades, Arantza!) and we had a family meeting. It was great because I hadn’t met my family in a while and I really missed them. So today I’m sharing the birthday card I made for my sister using Waffle Flower “Sweets” stamp set, designed by Big Beard and Bird. First time I saw this stamp set it immediately reminded me of my sister, because the little girl looks just like her when she was a child.

I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink. I did some masking so the little girl is standing on the top of a pile of sweets. I colored the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and I added a very light shade of blue around the image to make it pop against the white background. Next, I ran that panel through my Big Shot using Lawn Fawn “Stitched ovals” dies. Then, I used the same oval die on a piece of pattern paper from Dear Lizzy “Lovely day” collection I previously had trimmed down to A2 size. I adhered the pattern paper panel to a card base and glued the oval with the stamped image.

Next, I stamped the first part of the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I used Mama Elephant “Madison Avenue” dies on a piece of the same pattern paper to die cut a banner and stamped and heat embossed the second part of the sentiment. Last, I adhered this banner with foam adhesive.

Honestly, I wish I was that girl because I looooove candy.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day!
