Swimming with Sharks

Hola!!

Today I have another card featuring Lawn Fawn “Baaah Humbug” stamp set. As some of you were worried about my previous card’s swimming sheep, I made this card to show you how friendly are these sharks 🙂 In fact, I wanted to include this surprise in the previous card, but I couldn’t find a way to make it work. So I had to make another card, this time with a pirate sheep —I’ve seen this on some card makers’ projects and I had to make it too!

First, I stamped the images on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo black ink, colored them with alcohol markers, and fussy cut everything. The sheep are from Lawn Fawn “Baaah Humbug” stamp set, the pirate accessories are from “Booyah” stamp set as well as the sharks’ fins, which are made partially stamping the bottom part of the ghosts.

Surprise! Here are the super friendly sharks 🙂

For the card base, I used a piece of cardstock trimmed to 4-1/4” x 11-1/2”. I made score marks on 5-1/5” and 11” so I have an A2 top folding car with a thin tab on the backside (I hope it makes sense!). I used Lawn Fawn “Small stitched ovals”  dies to die cut a hill on a Bristol paper panel, and made a mask using Mama Elephant “Ocean waves trio” dies. I inked the hill with Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress inks and the sea with Chipped Sapphire and Mermaid Lagoon. I also used Lawn Fawn “Stitched hillside borders” dies on a smaller piece of Bristol paper, and blended Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Distress inks on it. Finally, I blended Tumbled Glass on the background panel and used MFT “Sunrays” stencil with Picket Fence Distress paint. Then, I spritzed some water and dried it with a paper towel after few seconds.

Thanks to my boyfriend Aitor for working as a hand model :p

Next, I die cut a piece of vellum using Mama Elephant “Ocean waves trio” dies, stamped some fishes from Lawn Fawn “Pizza my heart” stamp set with Versamark ink, and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I stamped another two fishes from Lawn Fawn “Dad+me” stamp set with Memento Tangelo ink and colored them on orange shades. I adhered this piece of vellum to the backside of the hill panel and then I glued this to the front panel. I adhered the images and stamped the bubbles with Lawn Fawn Yeti white ink. Next, I adhered this to the front of my card base. Last, I glued the small wavy panel to the thin tab. The sentiment is from Lesia Zgharda and is heat embossed on white.

I hope you like this card!

I’m entering this project into Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #8: Summer time fun

and into Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday June 2017: Summer icons

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
