Hi!!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card I made for my nephew Telmo. He just turned 6 and he loves dinosaurs and dragons, so Mama Elephant “Me and My Dragon” stamps seemed to be the best choice. My sister always tells me he loves to display my cards in his room (which makes me so happy) so I went for an easel card. I love that is interactive too!

I stamped the dragon and the cake (from Mama Elephant “Party Animals”) on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used orange for the dragon because is Telmo’s favorite color 🙂 I added some detail to him with a white gel pen and with a glitter pen. Next, I used coordinating dies to die cut the images. I used several Lawn Fawn dies (Stitched Mountain Borders, Grassy Hillside Borders, Forest Border) on color cardstock to make the scene. I blended Distress inks on the grassy hills to get some depth, and the cardstock I used for the mountains is my beloved Canson Mi-Teintes paper. For the sky, I used light blue cardstock.

I scored the card base front at 2.5 inches from the bottom and glued the elements to the card base: the hills and mountains to the lower part of the card front and the sky to the upper part. I glued the dragon and the cake as well. Last, I added a piece of green cardstock I had die cut using Lawn Fawn “Grassy Border” die to the inside of the card. I scored it so it works like a stopper for the front panel. The sentiments I used are from Mama Elephant “Make a Wish” stamp set.

I hope you like this card! Hopefully, I will be sharing some Christmas cards soon!

Have a wonderful day!
