Hola!

Today I have a birthday card I made a while ago for my sister. Besides, this is my first window shaker card!!

I die cut a star from square pieces of bristol paper, fun foam, and a card base using Lawn Fawn “Puffy stars” dies. I applied Cracked Pistachio Distress ink to the front panel. For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant “Make a wish” stamp set using VersaFine onyx black ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. Then I applied Abandoned Coral Distress ink.

I adhered the front panel to the acetate and then the fun foam to it and filled the shaker with a mixture of Lucy’s Things “Winter mint sparkly shaker selection” and “Twinkle lights sparkly shaker selection”, and adhered the back of the shaker to another piece of acetate and to the card base.

For a final touch, I adhered some sequins and confetti to the front panel and to the inside of the card.

I’m happy with this card. I think it turned out quite well to be my first shaker card.

And here is the happy birthday girl 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

The current Simon Says Stamp Monday and Wednesday Challenges theme are “Thinking of you” and, as I did this card thinking of my sister, I’m entering this card on both challenges.
