Hi!!

Today I’m joining to Birka‘s birthday celebration (Alles Gute zum Geburtstag!). Birka’s friends have organized an amazing party! They have planned a blog hop and the cards they’ve shared are simply awesome. And they have designed some great digis for us to make cards for the birthday girl. I love these wonderful digis!! These girls are so talented!

So, I had to make a pink card for Birka and, honestly, I’m not a huge fan of pink. I’m more #teamtürkis. But I’ve enjoyed forcing myself to create an all pink card. And I’ve chosen the manatee stamp because it is super cute!!

I printed the manatee in Strathmore Drawing paper and colored it with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. I’m getting increasingly happy with these pencils and I love the results I’m getting with them. I added some detail to the manatee with a white gel pen and a black gel pen.

For my background, I blended Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries Distress Inks on a piece of Bristol paper. Then, I misted the beautiful Hero Arts “Waves” stencil with water, place it carefully on top of the background panel and removed it after few seconds. I love how Distress Inks react with water! Next, I die cut the panel using Lawn Fawn “Puffy stars” dies and glued the pieces to piece of black cardstock leaving a little space between them. Then, I inked the corners of an A2 size panel with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using rose gold embossing powder. I trimmed down the background panel and adhered it to this embossed panel.

I wanted to use one of the free sentiments these girls have designed, so I used Google Translate, because I don’t have a clue of the meaning!! I opted for “P{INK}E grüße”. I printed it on black cardstock and heat embossed it using rose gold embossing powder. Last, I adhered the banner with the sentiment and the super cute manatee with foam tape and added some Clear Iridescent Jewels from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.

Last, I would like to congratulate the girls who have organized this wonderful birthday party. This kind of things give meaning to the #craftyfrindsarethebest hashtag. I’m sure Birka is over the moon because of her birthday celebrations.

Hope you like this card. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!!
