Hi!!

Today I’m sharing the project I made for Neat and Tangled Crafting With Compassion Throwdown Challenge. This challenge is about sharing the causes that are near and dear to our heart. Now, let’s see the cards I made:

For these cards I used Neat and Tangled “Scandinavian Prints” stamp set and “Journaling Alphas” dies. I stamped the pattern on white cardstock and then die cut the words unstoppable (imparable in Spanish) from this panel and several times from black cardstock. I mounted the pattern panel on a piece of light green cardstock and inlaid the letters. The first part of the sentiment is from “Mermazing” stamp set (with some masking for the Spanish part!). I heat embossed “you are” (eres in Spanish) on white on a stripe of black cardstock and glued it on top of the inlaid word. As a final touch, I added some sequins.

The color palette and the sentiment are inspired by the colors and the motto of Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation. This foundation makes an incredible work to impulse all kinds of projects for the benefit of patients and science. One thing that is very important to me is being a donor. As soon as I turned 18, I became organ donor and some time later, I became bone marrow donor. For many leukaemia patients the only curative treatment is a transplant from an unrelated donor because only one in every four patients have a compatible family member.
